Closing Keynote.

In Numbers the 14th chapter, God was explaining to Moses why he nor any of the other current adults of Israel would ever inhabit the promised land. It had to be heartbreaking for Moses to hear after all he had done.

But in the 24th verse, God made an exception; “But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.”

The name Caleb had Hebrew meanings that have been interpreted by some as, “a Sheepdog.”

45 years after that hard word from God, Caleb went to Joshua (the only other exception allowed into Canaan) and reminded him of what God had said of him when he was just 40 years old. He boldly told Joshua, he was just as strong at 85 as he was then and said, “Now give me that hill!” He was still confident in his battle abilities and knew what it would take to conquer the inhabitants.

As a church security operator, you are most likely in your super-late 30’s with graying hair and a suitcase of experiences. You may take your training serious and are very faithful in service. Are you wholehearted? You can be.
