Derrick Anderson

Executive Pastor, Brown Missionary Baptist Church

Derrick Anderson is a thought leader, mentor, and entrepreneur who established a footprint in the religious, non-profit sector, and marketplace. Graduating from Union University, he served in various leadership roles and co-founded Common Ground. Derrick completed his master’s degree in organizational leadership at Luther Rice University. Derrick serves as Executive Pastor/Chief of Staff at Brown Baptist Church, overseeing the day-to-day operations, administration, innovation, systems implementation, staffing, and policies. He is the Owner/President of Signal 88 Security Service providing security guards and mobile patrol in North/Central Mississippi. Derrick is the Co-Owner of Safeguard Consultants LLC, providing professional entities with safety/risk management consult and training, including large-scale event planning and active shooter training. He volunteers with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department as Captain/Commander for the Reserve uniform patrol division, Field Training officer, crisis intervention team member, recruiter, sharpshooter award recipient, and instructor for the academy. Derrick is a Genesis Foundation CDC board member, volunteer with the Red Cross, and served on the City of Memphis Mayoral Clergy Advisory Committee.
